DSV XPress
Dear Valuable DSV Customers,
The EU regulatory changes that came into force on July 1st mean that updates must be made to your DSV XPress API interface to enable the provision of additional data to ensure shipments are cleared efficiently with minimum delays.
The new EU “Import One-Stop-Shop” (IOSS) regulation applies for:
B2C shipments (receiver of goods is an end consumer)
with origin outside of European Union and destination EU
with a commercial value up to 150 EUR included.
These updates will provide new elements as part of the creation of draft booking to support with the removal of the EU VAT De Minimis with the ability for you to:
provide the new IOSS number
or to specify if the shipment is IOSS exempted (i.e. you are not shipping your goods to an end consumer).
In case you are shipping goods with origin outside of European Union and destination EU, those elements will become mandatory on October 1st 2021 when using the DSV XPress API end point ‘Create draft booking’.
This means that, as from October 1st, your company will not be able to create a shipment from Non-EU to EU if IOSS Number is not provided or if it is not clearly mentioned as IOSS exempted.
In order for your company to get prepared for this change, the API documentation will be updated on the DSV developer portal https://developer.dsv.com/ on August 27th 2021 and you will also be able to test the change using the DSV XPress demo environment on this date.
If your system is ready before October 1st, this can be used in production before this date.
If your solution is provided by a Third-Party Software Vendor, please contact your provider now to ensure your system will be updated before October 1st 2021 so that your shipments can continue to be accepted by DSV and EU Customs.
If you need support from our technical team, please contact developer.support@dsv.com.

Kind regards,
DSV XPress team
